simple but enjoyable, cute, smooth controls. this is a great start. id love to see a longer version + some opportunities for healing + additional enemies.

seems kinda funny but i die every time i walk up to the first ladder.
if thats intentional, i feel like you could have made it more clear or like had us die to some sort of hazard instead of just falling through the floor.
i get the concept i guess, i just feel like this would be much better as a movie given that theres basically 0 gameplay besides the dialogue

i liked it until the boss battle. i had equipped the mirror thinking that "reflect damage" meant that it wouldnt hurt me, and wasnt able to switch back to the shield. with no save function whatsoever i was disappointed that the game expected me to start from the very beginning but i might do it again a bit later. you should try to make it more clear what the items do, because i would have had no issue beating the boss if i had known the mirror didnt protect me from damage (40+ atk damage, had not even come close to losing a battle before that)

fun game, i enjoyed it quite a bit. my only gripe is that there didnt seem to be any difficulty curve. other people mentioned disasters or attacks as a way to make the game more complex, but another thing i noticed is that there really was no reason for the nightclub or the modern/rustic homes, because people were always happy so long as they had food and housing. i also wish we were able to destroy buildings from the beginning of the game, because i placed my first stone mine too far from the stone itself without thinking and was unable to move it. maybe let us destroy them for partial or half resources instead of only giving us the option once we have lots of stuff built? some ambient music would be great too

this is a good start for sure, and i'd like to see some more features or dynamics in the future

in reference to the previous review, id say you should tell people that you need to target the block specifically. id really recommend that you allow us to just mine in a direction by holding left click instead of making us click that specific block, though. seems pretty good so far otherwise. the frame rate is really awful for me (win8.1, chrome) but im not sure if thats just an issue with my pc. every second on your timer is about 4 seconds for me. the game is still playable like this, just a lot slower than intended. if anyone is having problems making progress, just mine straight down and only move to the sides if there are minerals close to you.

notes on my second play:
-music is way too quiet and there are no volume controls, if i turn the volume up louder to hear the music the sound effects are too loud.
-needs a pause button
-i am still disappointed in the movement/ the fact that we need to mouse over specific blocks instead of using directional mining
-ores do not behave consistently regarding how close i must be to pick them up
-digging speed is very inconsistent and seems to be operating on some type of loop where if i start clicking at the right time i move about twice as fast
-i agree with others about how the progress is too slow. if the game were more engaging (hint: make the music more fun) then it'd be a lot easier to overlook, but as it is i can neither really enjoy the sound nor can i put on different music and it really makes the game a lot less fun.
-if we have to keep holding down left click to dig and we have to keep the mouse over the specific block we want to mine, you need the character to stay in the center of the screen. they seem to just randomly drift off center and it doesnt seem that the cause is consistent, so i have to keep repositioning my mouse even if i am literally just digging straight down. this is a big issue for me.

i am almost 100% confident the values of the minerals are going down or that i am not being paid for some of them. im on my 15th or 20th run and im only making like 2-500? it doesnt tell me the values of each mineral either so i have no idea what to go for. since i doubt this is supposed to be some kind of market dynamic im just finding it really disappointing, because as all the other reviews say the progress is already way too slow and we're not seeing any new or exciting content, no changes of terrain or increased value of minerals etc. it seems that you havent really designed this game with an ending in mind so much as just something to grind on, and its not engaging enough to warrant that. im not doing 12 more runs just to get a time upgrade when im unable to see any change in the game whatsoever after the first time i reach the rocky soil. that is while i am literally digging straight down just to check if theres actually some point to this.

your game is okay as a start but in general it is just not worth investing time in, so while i found certain aspects appealing, you really need to think about whether people are going to enjoy themselves with something so slow and static, *especially* considering the irritating issues i mentioned earlier with the audio. i wish you the best and all but i am p frustrated that i even spent time on this.

needs more explanation/ more user friendly presentation. also im immediately noticing things that dont make any sense - i have to pay $50 to be a lab rat? i should be paid for that, and have a chance of gaining stats but generally lose them or lose lots of energy for it
working as an orderly only pays 10 per session, and it says it pays 20

might come back later but id rather play stick RPG than this. good luck polishing this up tho :)

cool but i think its a lil too unforgiving. its easy until checkpoint 5 and then it starts getting pretty frustrating. good work tho. i look forward to seeing a completed version

very quick. i fought the beasts/xenophobes every time and allowed the wizard to stay and basically just preserved population as much as possible, kept crops during plague and tried to max farmlands. i feel like i probably should have got a more gratifying ending than being assassinated and my empire getting wrecked by civil war given that all the choices i made were benevolent and accepting, but idk maybe thats just what the game is supposed to be a lesson? anyways im glad this isnt one of those clickers that takes 19 hours to finish cus im really sick of that kind of pointless grind. its nice to get results after a 2-3 minutes of gameplay i guess

i got 1 egg, then i typed "game" and got 500 points, then i typed "win" and the page froze but it did make a nice noise. it doesnt seem to recognize most of the words i used tho

i literally left this tab open for 45 minutes and it still hadnt loaded the game
