now that theres a little tutorial the game makes much more sense.
i noticed that the cave right next to musiktown (apparently there are 2 musiktowns) has a really quick infinite gold exploit - u can just walk in and out of the dungeon and keep grabbing the 3 chests inside the door over and over.
unused items dont seem to be going to my inventory, and its a bit tedious to see whats in a certain slot before buying the new item. once i had a fully equipped character this didnt matter, and it wasnt too hard to farm for gold, but i think i should be able to sell or reuse my old gear.
squad movement seemed pretty inefficient, so ive actually found the game easier to win with one unit instead. a lot of the time all my units would be stuck behind the one in front, and it was difficult to control which unit stayed there. basically everyone besides my warrior died quickly and i found that they werent doing much to help in the first place once they were gone
im enjoying the game a lot more now, though.

Thank you for playing the game. The feedback is noted-some of your points I can answer immediately others require work from my end to address.

The blacksmith does have goods-interface thing, you have to select the appropriate inventory slot first for relevant goods to show.

There is a light tutorial that displays some of this through the menu option marked tutorial at the beginning.

Yes the hire screen could use some work.

The idea I had was that the player would grind and level up in the non named dungeons ie non quest dungeons before attempting to defeat the skeleton captain but I can see from my stats most people are attempting to defeat him first up.

The dungeons non named ones scale to the level of the party in terms of danger and are random before their first visit.

There is no music or sound deliberately but I would have liked to have imcluded some if I could find any I liked.

Thank you again for playing. You are the first gamer to give me feedback so that is helpful.

i like it but it was very difficult to find the pathway into the forest and i really think we should be able to go back once we have walked into a new area, bcus once i found out i could actually leave the first area i accidentally skipped parts of some of the next ones because i assumed id be able to return. the game is cute and interesting though.

Thank you for the feedback :)

great game. i have only 2 small complaints: when we meet wizards + gnomes itd be really great for them not to disappear. often i want their bonuses but simply wont need them until i fight a bit more. the other thing is that the crit sound effect gets to be a bit abrasive during the cutscenes. its fine for combat but i felt like just using a different sound for when the screen shakes would make the experience a little more pleasant

ZsoltFekete responds:

Thanks for your feedback, I think you might be right, I'll keep your advice in mind for my future projects! :)

seems rly fun and generally has a lot of attention to detail. its running very slowly though and just after fighting scarra the wasd controls inexplicably stopped working. i hadnt realized there was mouse based movement as well so i spent like 5 straight minutes thinking a cinematic was just lagging while they walked around his room

BigBossErndog responds:

Yeah Keyboard controls for some reason is severely broken in some browsers, that’s why I didn’t reference them in the instructions. Would much prefer people stuck to the mouse controls to avoid this. Thanks for playing!

if we are using the mouse, it really doesnt make much sense to have us also use arrow keys instead of WASD. is there some alternate type of keyboard where it is not uncomfortable to hold your arms like this? i know it is nice for lefties but as far as i understand most ppl still keep the mouse on the right regardless of their dominant hand? idek
anyways seems like a fun game. we dont see enough decent RPGs on here and they're probably my favorite type here. this seems in depth but easy to get the hang of.

DLord2 responds:

Thank you for your feedback! We added arrows to be able to play without keyboard:). Also It's interesting point about the mouse position.

seems pretty great, but definitely needs some work. the controls arent very responsive sometimes and i find sean just sort of stopping here and there at crucial moments, making evasion pretty much futile. i didnt have a problem getting through the game until it came to the eye, where the difficulty moving was too much of a setback to have much of a chance in the fight.
there are quite a few places where its very difficult to target objects like the torches or braziers, and i had to spend a little too long positioning myself so that i could perform simple tasks. nothing game breaking here, but it seems like you could make the hitboxes or w/e a little bigger for some things
pretty cool game. i hope to see more

Rixium responds:

You're right. Much of the programming was very bad, and my laziness just kept stacking until the end it was a mess. Haha.

i remember playing this! its lagging a lot right now which makes some of the gameplay a little difficult - the character just kind of stops in its tracks every few seconds so i have to press movement keys over and over instead of holding them down. im not sure if this is on my end or an issue with the game, but i am fully willing to suck it up because this is a nice project
(i am using win 8.1 and chrome which tends to have issues with flash despite its claims)
i totally cant beat the jungle boss. im supposed to deflect the fireballs into the torches right? that jerk is too fast and he keeps bullying me. im pretty sure i never beat him the last time i played this, but ill probably keep trying
thanks for the cool/intradasting game!

Emptygoddess responds:

Yeah, also this thing was programmed in AS2, so it's a real dinosaur. Being made a decade ago will do that to you.

idk if im missing something, but it seems like the keyboard controls listed arent accurate (z, a, x vs. z,x,c)
i cant get the game to start, but the reviews seem positive so i dont want to give u a bad rating exactly
maybe consider just letting us press any key to start the game? its cool u let us assign controls how we want but it seems like the default scheme is a little obfuscating.
anyways, ill probably come back to this in 7 hours and realize i was being dumb, but i still feel that my experience is as relevant as any other if we keep in mind that the idea is to make the game as accessible/marketable/pleasant as possible, sooooooo
ill give it a 4 and then ill probably message you too many times later
thanks!

squidly responds:

Hey! Feel free to change the control mappings in the controls section to suit your needs, I know these are kinda weird for people using QWERTZ keyboards.

the game didnt start until i clicked the clockwork monster logo which was a link. thats a bit insistent :/
seems like a decent game though and its cool that ur being responsive and updating it

ClockworkMonster responds:

Mmm... Logo stays for 5 seconds, then Menu appears.

Maybe something went wrong during download, I´ll check the code.

Thanks!!!
